“Lágrimas de Oro” calls upon the pride of our Indigenous and African ancestors to be present, wearing the mask of the carved Coco de la palma as identification. We will not be afraid of our shadow or guard ourselves from the shadow in our dreams.
El gallo negro announces the light of new days approaching, and reminds us to be patient with the timing of our fight. Making vulnerability our ally, we wear our scars with dignity. Our ancestors shower us with gold rain-tears, cleansing us with wisdom and enlightenment of deeper self and spirituality. We embrace patience to fill our vessels with “Lagrimas de Oro” in order to live en un Puerto Rico Libre!” - Adrián Román
