Inherited Collection

The Inherited Collection comprises carefully selected artifacts, collectibles, and ephemera, centering on the rich histories of Puerto Ricans, while also embracing narratives from the Caribbean, Latin America, and Africa.

This collection draws inspiration from and is dedicated to my grandfather, Fernando Román, a lifelong enthusiast of hats. My personal connection with fedoras began in 2001 when I acquired my first one, and they have since become an integral part of my identity. In 2006, upon my grandfather's passing, I inherited his two favorite straw fedoras, creating a cherished connection between us.

My passion for collecting artifacts and ephemera is a reflection of the profound connection I share with my grandfather and his affinity for hats. These items serve as poignant reminders of cultural and personal histories, encapsulating the vitality and essence of the lives they've touched, the hands through which they've passed, and the stories they represent."
